Grease

This 1978 box-office smash, based on the long-running musical, features some of the most beloved songs of today, including “You’re the One That I Want” and the Academy Award-nominated “Hopelessly Devoted To You.” It’s set in the innocent ‘50s and centers on a group of friends during their senior year at Rydell High School. Director Randal Kleiser cast pop singer, and movie newcomer, Olivia Newton-John as wholesome Sandy Olsson opposite TV-star-turned-superstar-in-the-making John Travolta as T-Bird leader Danny Zucko. After a summer romance, Danny is surprised to see Sandy at Rydell High, where his persona is not exactly the same as the one she fell in love with. — Jaime Mendez
