Learn MoreAlicia Villarreal began her career in 1995 as the lead vocalist of Grupo Límite, one of the most successful música grupera bands of its generation. The group first toured alongside the legendary Grupo Bronco and quickly rose to international fame, becoming one of the most influential acts in regional Mexican music. Among their biggest hits were “Acaríciame,” “Te Aprovechas,” and “Solo Contigo.” During her time with Grupo Límite, the band released six albums, including a live recording from Mexico City. In 2001, Alicia launched her solo career with the ranchera-inspired album Soy Lo Prohibido, featuring the hit single “Te Quedó Grande la Yegua.” Following her departure from Grupo Límite, she released her second solo album, Cuando el Corazón Se Cruza, in 2004. Throughout her distinguished career, Alicia has earned multiple Gold and Platinum certifications and has been recognized with numerous prestigious awards, including a Grammy Award and Premio Lo Nuestro honors. With more than 10 million albums sold worldwide, she remains one of the most celebrated and influential voices in regional Mexican music.
