Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES TO BE PERFORMED INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Shipping 1. Maintain and organized, clean, professional workspace and warehouse 2. Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic 3. Provide excellent customer service with a helpful and friendly attitude 4. Generate department schedules that comply with the requirements of the facility and events 5. Provide input/ generate standard operating procedures, training forms, etc. 6. Provide training to subordinates 7. Delegate duties to subordinates, daily and weekly 8. Recommend disciplinary action for subordinates 9. Attend meetings and disseminate meeting information 10. Research product and pricing for ordering stock materials as needed. 11. Preserve network and perform outreach to expand networking/ vendors 12. Generate purchase and check requests 13. Ability to perform subordinate duties to include but not limited to: Receiving and logging all incoming deliveries, inspect deliveries for accuracy and conditions of the merchandise, issue and distribute inventory as requested, maintain electronic supply and shipment inventory log, process mail, overnight packages and bulk mailings, maintain postage records for various departments, drive company vehicle as required for pick-ups and deliveries. 14. Oversee/ perform fleet vehicle duties to include but not limited to: Fueling, State Inspections, Maintenance, Cleanliness 15. Operate and industrial forklift 16. Acting M.O.D. as needed 17. Assist other department in need to accomplish event expectations or company’s objectives 18. Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Position requires ability to:

  1. Operate a personal computer using Windows, Word, Excel and other standard office equipment.
  2. Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, patrons, employees, exhibitors and others encountered in the course of employment.
  3. Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  4. Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
  5. High school diploma or GED with exceptional skills of cash handling with at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity or equivalent combination of training and experience
  6. Subject to work irregular hours including, nights, weekends and holidays.
