Parking Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and organized, clean, professional workspace and waiting area • Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic • Provide excellent customer service with a helpful and friendly attitude • Attend meetings and disseminate meeting information • Train, oversee and direct Parking Lead Cashiers, Parking Cashiers/ Attendants and the operation of all Parking Facilities • Generate department schedules that comply with the requirements of the venues and events • Provide input/ generate standard operating procedures, training forms, etc. • Recommend disciplinary action for subordinates • Participate in work scheduling; work assignments, instruction and review, enforcing personnel rules and regulations, standards of conduct and work attendance, safe work practice enforcement and applicant interviews. • Assign posts, opening and closeout of cashiers’ banks and ticket supplies/issue. • Oversee cashiers engaged in parking fee collection, garage use, maintenance and security. • Receiving and accounting for parking fee collection by cashiers. • Ordering, accounting and keeping a controlled inventory for parking tickets utilized for event activity. • Direct traffic during events, patrol parking areas to discourage theft and vandalism. • Provide general tourist and event information or other routine information to patrons, students & general public. • Perform various clerical tasks. Sort, file and record keeping, prepare daily activity reports on computer, opening and closing daily counts of safe, ordering supplies, perform cashiering duties as needed, knowledge of Word, Excel & Microsoft office programs. • Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form. • Respond to inquiries and resolving complaints by patrons. • Preparing and accounting for change funds. • Provide event reports on a weekly basis or as instructed • Basic knowledge of APS (Automated Payment System) to include but not limited to: restocking/ retrieval of tickets, change, thermal paper, troubleshooting and system reset. • Ability to administer and ensure compliance of contractual obligations • Being able to communicate in Spanish is beneficial • Must be able to pass a background and credit check. Credit must be in good standing • Operate and industrial forklift • Act M.O.D. as needed • Assist other departments in need to accomplish event expectations or company’s objectives • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED • One year experience in general office work, including one year cash handling experience. • Good knowledge of cleaning methods, procedures, materials, tools and equipment. • Follow oral and written instructions. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees. • Must possess and exercise leadership qualities in a supervisory role.

Working Conditions: Activities occur both inside and outside facility; some exposure to adverse weather conditions; ability to work flexible hours, as needed, to include nights, weekends or holidays. Standing for long periods is normal and walking during events is expected. ** Physical Demands**
