• Partner with organizations to bring quarterly programming to the downtown

visitor center

• Promote welcome tours and presentations for local businesses and educational

groups and continue to conduct Ambassador training programs for the tourism

partners

Develop relationships with the travel trade and regional consumer industry shows to bring

awareness of El Paso’s offerings and promote the city as a weekend destination

• Participate in travel fairs, tradeshows and key events to generate incremental leisure

tourism

• Attend consumer travel tradeshows to increase the awareness of the destination

• Sponsor key events in the region to create travel package opportunities for El Paso

• Maintain a strong relationship with visitor centers and tourism offices throughout

the region

• Attend educational conferences to stay abreast of any changes in the tourism industry
