Viva! El Paso Offers Pre-Audition Master Classes January 23, 2018

A series of dance master classes will be offered to performers auditioning for this year’s production of Viva! El Paso.

The classes are free and will cover the various kinds of dance in the show, which returns to the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater for its 41st season this summer.

Classes will be available for adults (performers ages 13 and older) and children (performers ages 7 through 12).

Details for the Viva! El Paso Master Classes:

• All classes will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the McKelligon Canyon Pavilion, located just North of the McKelligon Canyon Amphitheater. Find directions here:

• Adult master classes will be on Mondays — February 5, 12, 19, and 26; and March 5 and 12.

• Children’s master classes will be on Wednesdays — February 7, 14, 21, and 28; and March 7 and 14.

• Bilingual performers are needed for a limited number of Spanish-language nights this season.

Auditions for this year’s production of Viva! El Paso will be held March 24-25 at the Abraham Chavez Theatre.

Performance dates and other details will be announced in the spring. Keith Townsend returns as artistic director for his third consecutive season.
