El Paso Live is proud to announce El Paso’s newest and coolest winter event, WinterFest, presented by The Hospitals of Providence and Providence Children’s Hospital. Downtown Arts Festival Plaza and surrounding areas will come to life December 3 through January 8 with lights, food, holiday shopping, festivities and the coolest thing of all, an outdoor ice skating rink located near the Plaza Theatre.
“As San Jacinto Plaza once again lights up for the winter season, we wanted to enhance the downtown visitor’s experience and create a new holiday tradition. We are pleased to present WinterFest along with The Hospitals of Providence and Providence Children’s Hospital and look forward to welcoming guests to a new, ‘cooler’ downtown El Paso,” said Bryan Crowe, General Manager of Destination El Paso.
WinterFest will offer affordable and free options for all ages. The festival’s ice skating rink is FREE to SEE and $8 to SKATE. Military personnel receive $1 off skate passes, and children 5 and under can skate for only $5. Special skate discounts will also be offered to patrons who donate specific items to help charitable organizations in their mission to bring food and warmth to low-income El Paso residents during the holidays.
Guests can take in the beautiful sight of El Paso Electric’s Holiday Tree, enjoy a delicious warm Mexican hot chocolate from the Coffee Box and feast on churros, “chilly” dogs, pozole and more at the Big Media Kringle Kafé and frolic in Winter Wonderland festivities courtesy of the Ruhmann Law Firm.
Skate tickets go on sale on November 23, 2016. Tickets, schedules and special festivities can be found at www.elpasolive.com soon.Follow us on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/elpasowinterfest/?fref=ts and on Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/epwinterfest/.
